Full body scans are now regarded as the most effective means for screening out potential illness, resulting from an outgrowth of shared concerns for health, diet and life-style. Many medical professionals agree with the assessment and encourage patients to participate in a full body scan.
Some often-cited research of a group of 1000 people over a period of less than one year, brought remarkable results. The full body scan study detected degenerative disks in over 50% of patients. It showed cardiac problems in nearly 30% and carotid artery calcification in another 20%. Results at these levels have been termed "atypical", however public attention on these new medical screening methods has been high.
The "full body" scan encompasses the region from the shoulders to the hips. Most are designed to recognize early signs of cancer in the lungs, kidneys, liver and colon. Often, however, trouble spots are identified that might not be detected for years into the future.
